All about Emma

Emma is now 2 months old. She is a very laid back little girl. With an older brother and sister that take a bit of attention away from her, she has learned to deal with some things on her own. She goes to sleep most of the time without a fuss, and up until last night she would sleep for a good 6 hours at a time! (More on that later!) Around 6 weeks babies are said to start having a "social smile" and we started seeing Emma's often, but usually not with camera in hand - we were lucky to catch this one below!

Here are a few pictures I took this morning (Sunday, April 13)

Those of you who have known us or know us now are probably aware that all of our kids including Emma have slept in their Aquarium Wonders cradle swing until around 4 months when we transitioned them to the crib. Well, Emma is no exception and has been happily sleeping in her swing from the beginning. Yesterday the swing died! Bryan took it apart today and the motor is just worn out (after swinging three kids, it's no wonder!) so last night Emma slept in her travel swing - and slept fine except she woke up every two hours rather than sleeping for 6 like she has been for the last two weeks or so! So we are at a crossroads - wondering if we should keep using the travel swing until we get the other swing fixed (Bryan is sure he can of course!) or just go ahead and transition her to her crib - even though that might mean a few nights of crying! So I guess tonight we will decide what we are going to do - I'll keep you posted!
